Hi, I’m Jayden, or what many of my students call me, Teacher Jayden.

Here’s a little background of my music journey.

I started learning music at the age of 6 years old, under Master Violinist Mr Lee Ying Hwa. This is the first instrument I’m exposed to, and I started learning and progress from there.

When I was studying at Nanyang Polytechnic, I joined the Nanyang Polytechnic Chinese Orchestra (NYPCO), and I learned my second instrument, the cello. During my years with the orchestra, I was tasked to be a student conductor, and cello instructor for the orchestra.

I truly enjoy my time with the orchestra as this expose me to the world of music. We practice regularly, we perform regularly for concerts and events. We are also invited to perform overseas.

After graduation from polytechnic and even while I’m doing my university studies, I’m still quite active with the orchestra.

I performed actively as Solo and in Orchestra in local concert hall, including Esplanade concert hall, Star Vista, Victoria Concert Hall. As well as overseas including Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.

Upon graduation, I decided to pursue music full-time as a music instructor, giving violin and cello lessons for kids and adults.

While giving music lessons, I also realized that I have quite a lot of students asking to learn english and chinese pop songs on violin and cello. And this gave me an idea to create a customized curriculum for adult group violin and cello lessons for interested students.

Pop Violin Group Lessons For Adults

If you’ve always wanted to learn how to play the violin to play your favourite pop songs – be it english, chinese, cantonese, korean, japanese pop songs – this pop violin group lessons is for you!

I have specially designed the curriculum such that any new violin student with zero background, can start learning the violin and playing their favourite pop songs as fast as the first two lesson.

Some of the popular songs you can learn include Mandarin pop songs by Jay Chou (周杰伦）Mayday （五月天）JJ Lin （林俊杰）, or English pop songs by Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Adele, or even songs from Anime!

Lessons are conducted at my conducive music studio at Joo Chiat.

You can just do 1 trial class first before deciding to continue further. And I will also provide free usage of violin at my studio too.

I have conducted this pop violin group class for many students and they really it. They are amazed by their progress on how they can play their favourite song on the violin in just few lessons.
